It’s hard to even find the words to describe this level of recklessness, but a few come to mind: Stupid, Dangerous, Appalling.
Take just a moment to remember the chaos and pain of the COVID-19 pandemic. Millions died. Millions more suffered from infection. Life was locked down. The economy slammed to a halt. We had to constantly mask, test, and worry. Scientists were working around the clock to find a vaccine.
Then, a breakthrough: An entirely new kind of vaccine called mRNA that is safe and highly effective. Billions of people around the globe got COVID vaccine shots and we slowly brought life back to normal.
mRNA vaccines are a modern marvel that saved our world from millions of needless deaths and serious illnesses.
But Trump and RFK Jr. are destroying the funding for more mRNA vaccines because they believe in conspiracy theories more than actual science and medical reality.
In a statement that scientists across the board have said is wildly untrue, RFK Jr. claimed that mRNA vaccines don’t protect against respiratory illnesses like Covid and the flu.
Ed Markey said from the start that RFK Jr. is a very dangerous man, and he was right. People will die as a result of his leadership. We have to put everything we got into defeating him and all of MAGA.
