Watch now   Important End of Week Update Aaron Parnas Aug 22 It’s Friday night, the week has ended, and I come to you with a message that weighs heavily on me. What I have long feared is beginning to unfold before our eyes: Donald Trump is using the machinery of government against those who dare oppose him. This morning, Trump’s FBI raided the home of his former National Security Advisor, John Bolton. Hours later, Trump declared himself the nation’s “top law enforcement officer” — a title he does not hold, a role that is not his. This moment did not come in isolation. Just 24 hours earlier, Miles Taylor revealed that national security reporters are bracing for targeted attacks from this administration. These are not coincidences. They are part of a calculated pattern. And it is exactly what many of us have been warning the public about for months. Before I go further, I need to pause and say this: I am not funded by billionaires or shielded by a corporate newsroom. My only backing comes from you — the readers who value independent journalism and choose to support it. If you’re not already a subscriber, I ask you to consider becoming one. Every subscription helps keep this work alive, especially in times when the stories we cover are under direct attack. Here’s where I stand: I do not consider myself Trump’s “opponent.” My work is not about bashing or praising Trump. My job—my responsibility—is to report facts, to investigate stories, and to tell the truth, even when it makes those in power uncomfortable. That, however, comes with a price. By committing to this mission, I inevitably open myself up to retaliation from the White House. They would rather I look away. They would rather I stay quiet. But that is not who I am, and that is not what this work demands. Take the Epstein files as an example. While much of the mainstream press allowed that story to fade over the last two weeks, I refused to let it die. I continued pushing, demanding transparency, even going so far as to challenge the White House directly on their new TikTok account, pressing for the release of the Epstein documents on every single one of their posts. My persistence, unsurprisingly, has not gone unnoticed. I am now being quietly censored on TikTok — Epstein-related content is being suppressed, my reach is throttled, and some of my comments directed at the White House have mysteriously disappeared. Again, this is no coincidence. This is what happens when power fears exposure. But here’s the truth: I am not afraid. This story is too important. The truth is too important. And censorship, intimidation, or personal attacks will not stop me. I am not backed by billionaires. I am not protected by a corporate newsroom with deep pockets. The only support I have is you — the people who believe in this work, who subscribe, who read, who share. It is because of you that I can continue doing this. And I will never stop So tonight, I leave you with this: yes, I will continue pursuing the truth, but I ask you to do the same. Your voice matters. Your persistence matters. Our collective voices are louder than any single administration’s attempts to silence us. If we keep asking tough questions, if we keep demanding answers, then the truth will surface. But the moment we fall silent — or worse, allow ourselves to be silenced — is the moment our institutions fail, and the moment the truth disappears into darkness. I know many of you are nervous about the future. I understand that. But I want to reassure you: no matter what happens, I will not stop. I love this work. To me, it is not just a job — it is a calling. It is, without a doubt, the best job in the world, because it allows me to serve the public and defend something that is larger than all of us: the truth. And so I promise you this — on this Friday night, in the face of intimidation and fear — I will keep going. I will not be silenced. And neither should you.
