more patriotism in his thumb than MAGA Hudson ever will

 

Earlier this month, ICE agents attacked a U.S. Army veteran.  They pepper-sprayed him, smashed his car, dragged him out at gunpoint, and locked him in a cell for three days. He was denied medical care, denied a phone call, and never charged with a damn crime. George Retes served this country with honor and these MAGA stormtroopers treated him like a fugitive because he’s brown. They saw his skin and they went full jackboot because in Trump’s America, racist cruelty is the point. This country was built by men like my grandfather who came from Jalisco, Mexico to dig the trenches, haul the steel, and raise the barns.  He came here with grit and determination, worked his hands raw, and built a life for his family. That family would grow to include soldiers, workers, and public servants, including me.  I served this country for over two decades, defending the heart of the American dream my grandfather believed in. Let me tell you something: George Retes and the farmworkers ICE dragged off that day have more American resolve and patriotism in their damn thumbs than Trump, Richard Hudson, and every last one of their MAGA goons combined. These folks have worked for something in their lives. They’ve picked the crops, stood in the fields, served and built something for this country. I can’t say the same for Hudson, the Beltway intern rat who greased his way into Congress. Or Trump, the slumlord heir slush fund baby.  Every ICE raid, every detention center, every boot in the face is brought to you by the donors Richard Hudson sweet-talks over bourbon and cigars.  He is the financial sewage pipe that keeps this whole operation running. Hudson is proud of this damn nightmare.  He hosts fundraisers with the same sick bastards who financially prop up the jackaloons who write these policies and sign off on these raids.  While a damn American hero like Retes sat covered in tear gas with no access to a lawyer, Hudson’s crew wasn’t calling him to apologize, they were calling their next donor.  It’s time to retire these jokers for good. Because if they can brutalize a veteran in broad daylight and get away with it, none of us are safe. Help me rip Richard Hudson out of office by the roots.
