Lawrence: 'Irreversibly stupid' Trump's biggest tariff 'humiliation day' has yet to come

That a single stupid man could wreck the world's international trade, while the Congress, the Senate, and the Judicial Branch, sat supine and did not insist that what he was contemplating then doing was illegal - is beyond madness - they are as guilty as he is..... he has, at least, the excuse that he is ignorant. Good men did nothing. Again.

I wonder how many people in America who voted for trump are now having second thoughts he is a laughing stock all over the world

So trump will use taxpayers money to give refunds to corporations but those refunds won’t be passed onto the consumer.

I am 75 years old, and grew up in a time when the nightly news on the three major networks was how a HUGE portion of the population got their information, and formed their opinions. Stupid people missed some things. The nightly news was addressed to an educated population. Watching Lawrence O'Donnell reminds me of getting the truth every night from Walter Cronkite.

So, the corporations who initially paid the tariffs will get refunds. But those of us who paid increased amounts for products because of the tariffs will get nothing back. I can guarantee that the prices won't go back down either.

It was never about helping America. It was about helping himself, his family, his cronies to billions in stock profits!

The businesses pass on the tariff cost to the consumers. So why are the businesses getting refunds and not the American people?

Issuing refunds will not bring businesses back or eliminate the damage done to a family or individual! Refunds are about money only! Refunds won't change the time lost, the wages lost, the families that are already struggling under our current economy! The president didn't have the right to impose tariffs at all, so he shouldn't have to be able to have them REINSTATED! IMO, the appeal should have been denied.

He's not humiliated. He and his friends have made billions via the stock market volatility that his tariff additions and removals have caused.

With this president and his administration we are living in a true “Idiocracy”.

Trump is a global embarrassment.
