BREAKING: The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service just announced its long-awaited decision that grizzly bears still require federal protection under the Endangered Species Act! The FWS decision to keep grizzly bears listed under the ESA confirms that these majestic animals are still significantly IMPERILED and in dire need of federal safeguards to prevent their EXTINCTION. Grizzly populations remain threatened by human activities — including violent trophy hunting backed up by Donald Trump and his cronies who want to hunt these iconic animals for sport. Now, in order to help secure a hopeful future for this threatened species, we must move forward on tangible action steps by updating the FWS Grizzly Bear Recovery Plan with a new approach — using scientifically-backed strategy, site-specific management actions, and the latest conservation practices. |
