UnitedHealth and other insurance giants have been using privatized Medicare Advantage to scam the government out of billions. The Wall Street Journal just reported that United set up an OUTRAGEOUS scheme to force doctors into making fake diagnoses on Medicare Advantage patients. Why? So, UnitedHealth could overbill the government and make millions. Insurance corporations like United, Cigna, and Humana make billions in profits from people just trying to get health care. AND these companies have been accused of rampant fraud in administering Medicare Advantage — stealing from public funds to pad shareholder profits. This kind of sick behavior by America’s largest health care corporation must end. These are the headlines of America’s Oligarchy — giant corporations cutting into Medicare, one of our most important public insurance programs, in order to grow private business and make the rich even richer. All the while, people suffer with more care denials, worse care, and higher costs. Executives get rich and stocks go up while everyday Americans suffer.
