Host: Will you raise the minimum wage? Trump: WORD SALAD
The federal minimum wage of $7.25 has remained unchanged since 2009, with 20 states still using it as their baseline. When asked if he would raise it, Trump acknowledged it was "very low" but avoided committing to any specific action. He argued that higher wages, like those in California, lead to business closures but ignored the potential economic benefits of increased consumer spending from higher wages. Ultimately, Trump’s stance appeared noncommittal, acknowledging the problem while signaling he plans on doing nothing to address it.
The INSANELY DANGEROUS Trump nominee that NO ONE is talking about
Donald Trump has nominated Harmeet Dhillon for Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights, a role critical to enforcing voting rights and combating voter suppression. Dhillon’s track record includes challenging vote counts and supporting restrictive voting measures, often under the guise of ensuring "only legal votes" are counted — language critics argue targets mail-in ballots and communities of color. Her appointment could mark a shift in the DOJ’s priorities, from fighting voter suppression to enabling it.
From yesterday’s show:
Billionaire & millionaires meet to cut Social Security from $1700/month
Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy met with millionaire senators to discuss cuts to Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid, with "nothing is sacrosanct" as the takeaway. This reflects an oligarchic system where billionaires and millionaires retain wealth while workers face benefit cuts. To achieve a $2.5 trillion budget reduction, lawmakers must either eliminate all discretionary spending or reduce mandatory programs like Social Security, ideas that are impractical and would have devastating consequences.
From yesterday’s show:
HOLY $&!T: Trump's hiring failed lawyer ALINA HABBA
Donald Trump announced that Alina Habba, his former personal attorney, will join his White House team as counsel to the president, citing her loyalty and legal experience. Previously considered for attorney general and press secretary, Habba’s appointment has raised concerns about her influence on Trump’s decisions. Trump also named Michael Anton, linked to Project 2025, as director of policy planning at the State Department. Trump prioritizes loyalty over competence, raising doubts about the incoming administration's ability to serve the public interest.
