In February 2020, Ahmaud Arbery was tragically killed while out for a run in Georgia, after three white men, suspecting him of criminal activity, pursued and fatally shot him. These men were later convicted of murder and federal hate crimes. Now, a final piece of the case is coming together. Jackie Johnson, the former Georgia district attorney and county prosecutor at the time, faces charges of interfering with the police investigation. Her trial is scheduled for early 2025 after being delayed due to her lawyer Brian Steel’s involvement in the Young Thug RICO case.
