Republicans continue their effort to disenfranchise Pennsylvania voters
The Republican National Committee (RNC) filed two more lawsuits in Pennsylvania to block the counting of undated and wrongly dated mail-in ballots, in Centre and Philadelphia counties.
The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee and incumbent Sen. Bob Casey’s (D) campaign moved to intervene in a separate case before Pennsylvania’s highest court. They’re arguing that the undated and wrongly dated mail-in ballots should be counted, or else it would violate the state constitution.
In all, this week the RNC filed four lawsuits in Pennsylvania in an effort to block wrongly dated and undated mail-in ballots from being counted, just as the incredibly tight U.S. Senate race between McCormick and Casey heads toward a recount.
