Donald Trump is set to be sentenced on September 18 on his 34 falsifying business records convictions in his election interference case in New York.
But there is something that will occur on September 16 that will be pivotal in the case, and will likely have Trump sprinting to appeals courts - both state and federal - in a desperate attempt to avoid being sentence for his crimes.
This video explains what an "interlocutory appeal" is and why it will give rise to one final hurdle Lady Justice will need to jump in order for Trump to be sentenced on September 18.
