Trump-appointed Judge Aileen Cannon will hold a hearing on Friday to determine if Special Counsel Jack Smith should be allowed to continue his prosecution of Donald Trump for his classified documents, obstruction of justice, and espionage crimes.
Special counsel/special prosecutors have been used in America since the 1800's. They have always been found to be a lawful and constitutional exercise of executive branch authority.
Nevertheless, Judge Cannon - apparently ignoring both historical and legal precedent - has decided to fully litigate Donald Trump's frivolous motion.
This video discusses what's at stake and why Judge Cannon continues to prove that her impartially might reasonable be questioned, satisfying the legal standard for removal from presiding over Trump's case.
