Reportedly, this man first chased the young wolf with his snowmobile until it simply couldn’t run anymore, then he hit it, rendering the wolf defenseless. He then took the injured wolf and taped its mouth shut so he could take the bound and wounded animal to a bar to pose for pictures. Only then did this man finally end the torture by shooting the poor wolf in the head, execution style. Without Endangered Species Act protections for all wolves, we could soon see even more instances of young wolves being exploited for the amusement of cold-blooded killers. That’s why from now until Endangered Species Day, we’re increasing our match – every gift will now be matched 4X to defend wildlife. Donate to our emergency Save Our Species Response Fund and your gift will go even further to fight for endangered species. To make this story worse – most of those actions were allowed under current laws. In parts of Wyoming, wolves can be run down with snowmobiles, killed in slow and brutal ways, and in 85% of the state there are even no limits to how many wolves can be destroyed. This horrifying act is the direct result of years of anti-wolf rhetoric and legislation aimed at undermining protections that animals need to survive. |
