Jack Smith expands criminal probe, investigates Trump's wire fraud by fundraising off the big lie
Special Counsel Jack Smith has not only been investigating the crimes of former president Donald Trump quickly and aggressively, but he's not shy about expanding the scope of the the criminal probe. As The Washington Post reported, " Special counsel focuses on Trump fundraising off false election claims."
This video discusses the federal crime of wire fraud (18 US CODE SECTION 1343) and why it applies to Trump's emails seeking money by making false election fraud claims.
This video also touches on the friction between endless Department of Justice investigations and the need for the DOJ to take it's first overt law enforcement act of indicting Trump for at lease some of his crimes.
