Corruption and bribery has no place in our democracy.
But earlier this week, ProPublica revealed that Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas concealed over two decades of extravagant trips and amenities funded by Republican mega-donor, Harlan Crow. Private jets, excursions on a mega-yacht, and more were intentionally hushed — directly breaking long-standing ethical norms for judges' conduct.
Harlan Crow is a Texas real estate developer with deep conservative networks. He is a director at the notoriously anti-climate American Enterprise Institute, and over the years hes donated over $3 million to conservatives like Greg Abbott, Kyrsten Sinema, and Ted Cruz.
These are the kind of bad actors who have seeped into our government to control our politics. Shaming and naming is not enough, these individuals and anyone who maintains the same corruption must be impeached.
Jamaal is working hard to expose and hold bad actors accountable like Harlan Crow and Clarence Thomas for taking advantage of our government systems and working people. Every day, we're reinventing our government to work for the people and not just the privileged few.
