Clarence & Ginni, Donald & Lindsey, and the stench of conflict and corruption at the Supreme Court

Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas has again refused to remove himself from a case in which he has a conflict. First, he decided a case in which his wife Virginia "Ginni" Thomas was involved, voting to keep hidden from Congress her corrupt and potentially criminal text messages to Mark Meadows urging him to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election. Now, here he goes again: Justice Thomas wadded into the same area, helping Lindsey Graham avoid testifying about Trump's efforts (not to mention Graham's own efforts) to overturn the election's results. Recall, Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger is on record as saying Graham "urged him to toss out lawfully cast ballots." It's hard to understand how the Supreme Court continues to be comfortable wallowing in its own illegitimacy, rather that acting in a way that might rebuild the public's confidence in the court's ability to fairly, honestly and ethically preside over cases.
