The Office of Congresswoman Hayes has assisted constituents in all 41 towns of the Fifth District, including helping 74 veterans and active military members; supporting 141 seniors with Social Security and Medicaid; facilitating 211 passport cases, 25 Afghanistan-related cases, 229 immigration cases; and 441 Internal Revenue Service-related cases. Additionally, the office worked with small businesses to obtain $47.8 million in Restaurant Revitalization Fund (RRF) grants to help 241 businesses; $11.5 million in Special Venue Operators Grants (SVOG) for 19 Connecticut venues; and assisted in the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan process to help 130 businesses in need. The office has connected with the community through 106 events and 11 “Casework on Your Corner” pop-ups.
