join us on June 23 to stop the Trans Mountain Pipeline

We’re running out of time to end fossil fuel expansion — and new oil pipelines like Trans Mountain will only make things worse:

  • Current plans to expand the Trans Mountain pipeline would nearly triple its capacity, unleashing more dangerous, climate-warming fossil fuels
  • Tar sands oil, which are transported in the pipeline, release three times as much greenhouse gas pollution as conventional oil

That’s three times the exports of a fossil fuel that’s three times as polluting as regular oil — unless we stop the Trans Mountain pipeline expansion in its tracks!

That’s why Public Citizen is joining a powerful coalition to challenge the corporate power behind the pipeline.

Join us for a kick-off webinar on Thursday, June 23, at 3:00 p.m. ET/12:00 p.m. PT to learn how you can pressure insurers and banks to stop supporting this dirty tar sands pipeline.

We know that banks and insurance companies are susceptible to pressure, especially from their customers.

Because of people like you speaking out, 18 insurers have already ruled out support for Trans Mountain — including two in the past few weeks!

But despite our progress, this destructive pipeline is still moving forward.

Trans Mountain threatens the climate, clean air, clean drinking water, and the rights of local Indigenous communities.

RSVP today for next week’s organizing call to learn what’s next in the fight against the Trans Mountain pipeline and what you can do to make a difference.

In solidarity,

Hannah
