Knocking on doors is one of the best and most direct ways to reach voters! I was out and about the other weekend knocking doors in Huntington Beach.
As I talk with voters, I hear about a lot of the same challenges my family is facing. We’re seeing prices go up on the things we buy every week like gas and groceries, and we’re having to cut back as a result (sorry to my kids, I’m not paying $10 for bacon!).
On top of that, the cost of major expenses like housing, childcare, college, and healthcare continue to rise, squeezing families and forcing many here in Orange County to wonder if our kids will be able to afford to stay here.
I’m excited to tell voters about the work I’ve done in Congress to address these issues. I introduced the Consumer Fuel Price Gouging Prevention Act to stop Big Oil companies from price gouging, and I’ve passed legislation to help lower the cost of prescription drugs.
But I know there’s so much more to be done and I understand people’s frustration. That’s why I want to be re-elected. There’s so much more to do to ensure our economy is strong, stable, and globally competitive and that families can be successful.
As much as I may want to, I can’t knock every single door. Which is why I’m sending you this survey—what do you want me (and my team) to know about the issues that are most important to you? Whether it’s about protecting access to abortion or making sure we bring down costs, I want to hear your story.

Katie is running for re-election in California's 47th district, which includes Irvine and coastal Orange County. This purple district contains an equal number of Democrats and Republicans and is a must-win for Democrats. Consider pitching in today so we have the resources to keep Katie in Congress fighting for working people. |
