The Supreme Court’s message to American women:

Nothing's 100% certain yet, but all indications suggest that the GOP has won a critical victory in their decades-long attack on reproductive rights.

POLITICO EXCLUSIVE: Supreme Court has voted to overturn abortion rights, draft opinion shows

Let's not mince words: Republican leadership has a regressive, radical, straight-from-A-Handmaid's-Tale vision for this country. And for nearly 50 years, they've willingly, sometimes eagerly, betrayed the trust of the American people in an effort to make that dystopian vision a reality.

The ruling we saw yesterday is still a draft– abortion is still legal in Massachusetts and across America – but make no mistake: if this opinion is officially handed down, it will tell all American women that, by law, your bodies are not your own. That your rights extend only as far as the most unreasonable extremists allow.

The Republican establishment has made clear that they won't compromise, won't cooperate, won't follow the rules, and won't respect the will of the people. That leaves us with one very clear plan: win.

So we will not agonize. We'll organize. Mobilize. We'll take our fight to the American people so that everyone understands what is at stake if this opinion is handed down.

And if the Court goes through with this awful decision, we'll activate voters across America to restore the right to a safe and legal abortion.

More soon,

Jim
