For years, the GOP has been waging war on our reproductive rights, and yesterday we learned just how close they are to overturning Roe v. Wade:  It’s issues like this that inspired me to run for Congress, and this leaked draft opinion only fuels my commitment to fight even harder each day to protect reproductive justice. We can codify and protect reproductive rights. That’s why I voted to pass legislation aimed at protecting the right to choose. The Senate MUST act to end the filibuster and defend reproductive freedom. Add your name if you agree >> Roe has been the law of the land for 49 years. Women’s rights are human rights, and I will always fight to ensure women’s access to safe and comprehensive health care. I’ve been doing just that since my time in the New Mexico Legislature. While we fight to codify Roe in federal law, please know: your right to an abortion is still the law of the land until the Supreme Court officially issues this decision. If you are a patient with an appointment, you should avail yourself of your constitutional right.However, with the news coming from The Supreme Court’s ultra-conservative majority, it’s long past time we codify the right to choose at the federal level.
