Delaying results and disenfranchising voters

Jamaal Bowman for Congress

As we await the final results of our primary election from the NYC Board of Elections, Eliot Engel has filed a lawsuit against the BOE so he can challenge decisions about whether or not an absentee vote should count — an act that would not only further delay results, but could also disenfranchise voters.
In response, our campaign has assembled a team to take on legal challenges associated with this lawsuit and make sure every single vote is counted. But all of this is causing our legal fees to rise far beyond what we initially expected.
Will you rush $7.50 to our campaign and help defray these costs? Our finance team has estimated that we'll need at least $25,000 by Monday in order to keep our legal team staffed to capacity:

While votes are still being counted, Jamaal holds a decisive lead over Eliot Engel from the votes that have already been counted. Multiple news outlets have confirmed this lead and have called the race in favor of Jamaal.
Jamaal is ready to represent the people of New York's 16th District and has already gotten to work within our community. But, because of this lawsuit, this important work is on hold so he can work with our legal team to make sure everything is squared away.
With NYC BOE official results more than a month away, we need all the support we can get in this waiting period. Chip in $7.50 towards our legal fees today and help us get ready to address any issues and legal matters that might come up.
