New data shows that almost 20% of mothers with young children say their kids don’t have enough to eat. That’s triple the hunger rate at even the height of the Great Recession, as millions of American families now struggle to put food on the table for their children.
Democrats want to expand nutrition assistance benefits. But Trump and Republicans have said no, instead trying to kick hundreds of thousands of Americans off the program in the middle of the crisis. Why?
The New York Times reports Trump may be withholding aid to spite former President Obama, who Republicans derided as the “food stamp president.”
Trump might be willing to let American families starve just to hold a grudge. But Americans can’t sit idly by and let him. So please, tell us now:
