Trump boasts "young beautiful girls" visit him at the White House to thank him for lowering crime
The president of the United States reminded the entire country that he is a credibly accused rapist, the former best friend of the world's most infamous pedophile, and an obnoxious old pervert at a rally Friday afternoon when he boasted of "beautiful young girls" supposedly showing up at the White House to tell him how grateful they are that he, uh, solved crime.
"Oh, these young, beautiful girls. These young, beautiful girls. These young, beautiful girls in the White House. You know, they come in. Now, I'm not supposed to say beautiful, but what the hell," leered Trump. "These young, these gorgeous, beautiful girls, they want to be safe. They come. 'Mr. President, may I speak to you?' Yes. 'Thank you, sir. Thank you.' I said why are you thanking me? 'Because a year and a half ago, I was afraid to leave. I was afraid to open the door of my apartment.'"
Of all the things that never happened, this never happened the most. But it is very telling that when Donald starts spinning fantasies to tell the crowd about his excellence, he immediately starts salivating over the thought of "young, beautiful girls." What an absolutely unhinged creep.

BBC wants to subpoena Trump’s kids over dad's absurd $10B defamation lawsuit
The BBC has asked the US District Court in the Southern District of Florida to subpoena Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump, and Jared Kushner, as it seeks to defend itself from a $10 billion defamation lawsuit brought by Donald Trump over a documentary he believes falsely portrayed his Jan. 6, 2021, coup attempt. Lawyers representing the broadcaster said Friday they’ve repeatedly attempted to subpoena the trio through other methods, only to be rebuffed by the Secret Service.
Trump Jr., Ivanka and Kushner were all with Trump that day, notes the BBC, making them important witnesses. Last week, President Trump backpedaled and withdrew allegations the BBC had damaged his brand and businesses after the network demanded he disclose his financial records.

People detained at an overcrowded federal immigration camp in Mississippi were sickened by a mystery gas leak, then denied medical care when they complained of headaches and other symptoms, it has been alleged.
A lengthy power outage at Adams County Detention Center, an ICE facility run by the private operator CoreCivic, also left it without air conditioning for two days this week, according to one detainee who contacted The Guardian through his family. As a result, he said, people detained there were forced to spend hours outside in near 100F heat in blazing sunshine and with no shade, or left to swelter inside in cramped cells.
The allegations come as a third person who was held in ICE custody at the Delaney Hall detention center in New Jersey, run by the GEO Group, another government contractor, was reported to have died; and an inspection report of the Adams county facility in Natchez found 23 violations of use-of-force or restraint standards.
Double jeopardy could spell end of state case after Luigi Mangione’s guilty plea
Luigi Mangione’s plea to federal stalking charges in UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson’s death has spurred questions about the fate of the separate Manhattan murder case against him, with experts saying New York’s double-jeopardy law could derail that trial. Mangione pleaded guilty to one count of interstate stalking resulting in death, and one count of cyberstalking through use of interstate facilities resulting in death, in connection with the 4 December 2024 shooting outside a Midtown hotel. Both charges carry a potential maximum life sentence. Mangione’s bombshell plea came as a shock to public, media, and legal observers who thought his state trial would commence in less than one month.
He appeared in state court on Tuesday for the final pre-trial conference in that case, with jury selection slated to start in early September.
