New Hampshire Republicans can't seem to focus on the problems Granite Staters actually need addressed. That tracks, they can't even get their own house in order.
Governor Kelly Ayotte has been called the largest recipient of pharmaceutical industry donations of any New Hampshire politician, including campaign contributions from the Sackler family, the owners of Purdue Pharma, during her time in the U.S. Senate.
That's not the only questionable money Ayotte has taken. She accepted campaign donations from four men named in the released Epstein files.
The rest of New Hampshire's Republicans have their own list of scandals that should be disqualifying.
Jason Osborne, who is running for Speaker of the New Hampshire House, used a racial slur in an online post that resurfaced publicly. House Speaker Sherman Packard refused to even ask him to resign over it.
Tim McGough, a state senator representing Amherst, Merrimack, Wilton, and Milford, was banned from his own Senate Republican caucus meetings this year after allegedly berating a staffer, a sign of how even his own party sees him.
The list goes on. And while they stoke fear and anger with their rhetoric, they've done nothing about the high costs Granite Staters are dealing with every single day.
We must demand better from our representatives. We would from our friends, our colleagues, and our families. Why should we tolerate this behavior from people with this much power over our lives?
Hold them accountable. Help us send them into retirement.
