New footage of fatal ICE shooting in Texas sparks fresh outrage
ICE agents fatally shot Lorenzo Salgado Araujo during an early morning traffic stop in Houston, then claimed the victim "weaponized" his van and attempted to run them over. Sound familiar?
Unsurprisingly, new surveillance footage and eye-witness accounts tell a very different story. Trump DHS officials have confirmed that Araujo wasn't even the guy they were looking for; they just gunned down a father of three who had lived in the United States for 35 years, then scrambled to make him out to be a violent criminal without a second thought.

Trump fires remaining members of bipartisan election commission
Warnings of the wannabe dictator's ongoing attempt to steal the 2026 midterm elections are not overblown. Thanks to a disastrous Supreme Court ruling last week granting Trump the unprecedented authority to unilaterally fire leaders of independent government agencies, the bipartisan Election Assistance Commission is now officially gutted. Trump fired the two remaining Democratic commissioners via email this week while allowing the remaining Republican member to resign.
While the commission cannot have more than two members from the same party, Donald is free to nominate two sycophants who will do his conspiratorial bidding, and there is no requirement that he nominate any commissioners before the next election. How convenient.
