On June 9, House Republicans passed a $70 billion blank check for ICE. The vote passed by just two votes, 214 to 212.1 Not one Democrat supported it.
ICE and U.S. Border Patrol are already sitting on $100 billion in unspent funds from last year's reconciliation bill.2 There was no funding crisis. Republicans invented one, then doubled down with $70 billion more.
They voluntarily handed more money to an agency that has been terrorizing our communities with masked raids at schools, workplaces, and people's homes, deporting our neighbors without due process.

While families are struggling to keep up with rising costs, Republicans aren't just funding ICE's abuses—they're taking healthcare away too. The same Republican-controlled Congress already cut Medicaid by $911 billion over the next decade through last year's reconciliation law, a cut expected to push 10 million more people into the ranks of the uninsured.3
Meanwhile, ICE's own budget windfall has made it the highest-funded federal law enforcement agency in the country, with virtually no congressional oversight on how that money gets spent.4
Republicans had a choice between funding healthcare for working families or funding a rogue agency with a track record of abuse. They chose ICE.
Every Republican who voted yes owns every raid, every family separated, and every death that follows. Add your name to demand accountability.
We're organizing right now to make sure every Republican who backed this bill pays for it at the ballot box this November. Add your name to show them we won't stand for this, and that we're going to vote them out.
Thanks for all you do.
