Moments ago in a video shared on social media Graham Platner announced he would be suspending his campaign and filing paperwork to withdraw from the election.  We need candidates to live our values and we were proud to have added our voices to the overwhelming call on Platner to drop out. He listened and now the nation is asking what's next.  We are now in a moment comparable only to the late-game suspension of the '24 Biden campaign. We all remember how that went... With over 500k Disruptors and counting, we are among the largest youth orgs on the left.  With less than 4 months on the clock, we must scramble to find a nominee that Mainers can get behind/rapidly build a campaign that not only can compete w/ but defeat far-right Senator Susan Collins.  Disrupt’s youth army played a key role in the March victory of Texas Democratic nominee for US Senate James Talarico. We reached hundreds of thousands of voters to carry him through the home stretch.
