Hey! This is Larry David. Surprised to hear from me? Well, I’m as surprised as you are. You think I wanted to do this? This is cutting into nap time. But I couldn’t say no to Alex Vindman. He’s running for Senate in Florida. I like that Vindman. The man is everything I’m not, which should give you some idea of what a tremendous person he is.

The guy’s a hero — a real one. He sacrificed his career to testify in front of Congress about how Trump tried to blackmail Zelensky, the President of Ukraine.

You know, I’m a nice guy. I don’t like to criticize people, but I’m willing to bet that the woman running against him wouldn’t sacrifice her career for anything. I’m also willing to bet that every vote she’ll ever cast will be because Trump wanted her to vote that way:

“Yes, Mr. President! Whatever you say, Mr. President. You’re the greatest, Mr. President. Build more monuments to yourself, Mr. President? I’ll vote for it! Gut the Affordable Care Act? I’ll vote for it! Go to war with Iran without a plan to end it? I’ll support it. Use your office to enrich yourself and your family? I won’t say a word. Do anything I can to help you distract from the Epstein files? Sure, here's some more UFO footage! Lie every second of every day? I’ll go along with it, because I’m a puppet and I don’t have a mind of my own. I’m just a little sock.”

Vindman is not a puppet. He has a moral compass that doesn’t allow him to sell out. His family immigrated from Ukraine. They had nothing. He loves this country. He loves it so much it’s almost off-putting. I love it too, but come on. Get a life, Vindman! There’s more to life than serving America.

Now here’s the awful part...Right, you got it. Money. Alas, you can’t get elected without money for a campaign. I get it if you don’t want to give anything. Who wants to give money to someone you don’t know? Who wants to give money to someone you know?!

But even if it’s a small amount, it might be worth it if you elect someone who’s different, who has a backbone, and who’s actually a good guy. And who knows — you might personally need something from your senator one day. And this I guarantee — he will respond. And if he can help you, he will. As my mother used to say, “He’s a living doll.
