I have some truly alarming news to share. The Trump administration has just authorized nearly $2 billion in taxpayer money for a shocking purpose: to kill three American offshore wind projects. Trump is essentially paying energy companies to walk away from renewable energy using your hard-earned tax dollars. The catch? To receive the money, they must reinvest it in fossil fuels. This is corruption — plain and simple. Our SEEC Members are fighting back. Rep. Jared Huffman (the top Democrat on the House Natural Resources Committee) and Rep. Jamie Raskin (the ranking Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee) have formally opened a Congressional investigation into these "deals."
