After several hours of protesting, which included protesters throwing snow and garbage into the hotel vestibule, federal immigration agents began attacking protesters and journalists with rubber bullets, tear gas, and other chemical ammunition. As things escalated, federal agents attacked protesters, shooting one with rubber bullets at point-blank range. Then, a Border Patrol agent violently threw our reporter Tina-Desiree Berg to the ground as other agents deployed more tear gas.
