FACT CHECK: RIGHT-WING LOONS

Right-wing media and maga influencers humiliated themselves again—twisting a simple Biden family Christmas message into an unhinged conspiracy theory.

“Wishing you a peaceful and joyful Christmas Eve filled with love,” the Bidens posted with the photo above. A standard message—yet Fox “News” and others insisted the image proved Hunter Biden was “replacing” Joe.

Nope. It’s just a picture. Get over it, maga. Seriously.

EPSTEIN SURVIVOR SLAMS TRUMP

Epstein survivor Marijke Chartouni delivered the perfect response to Trump’s diabolical Christmas rant, where he claimed associates only abandoned him “when things got too hot.”

Chartouni cut straight through Trump’s projection with this response: “Every accusation is a confession. Cheers.”

SANDERS ON DATA CENTERS

Yesterday, Sen. Bernie Sanders went on TV to slam the billionaires who are “raising electric bills” across the country with their massive data centers. Sanders said, “We need to be thinking seriously about a moratorium … you gotta slow this process down.”

Sanders added: “It’s not good enough for the oligarchs to tell us ‘It’s coming, you adapt.’ What are they talking about? Are they gonna guarantee healthcare to all people? What are they gonna do when people have no jobs? … Make housing free?” Great points.

PELOSI ON THE MIDTERMS

Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi did an interview that aired yesterday, where she delivered a blistering takedown of Trump’s cult, and explained what will happen if Democrats win the 2026 midterms.

“Right now, the Republicans … have abolished the Congress,” Pelosi said. “They just do what [Trump] insists that they do. That will be over as soon as we have the gavel.”

And when asked if Democrats planned to impeach Trump if they take back the House, Pelosi said: “One person is responsible for the impeachments of Donald Trump … it’s Donald Trump.” Absolutely.

ZELENSKY IN FLORIDA

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with Trump at Mar-a-Lago yesterday. Let’s start with the fact that Trump said he would end the war on day one, and it’s nearly been a year.

Before Zelensky arrived, Trump made a public announcement that he had just spoken with his boss Putin, and would also call him back right after the meeting.

Even knowing this, Zelensky walked into Mar-a-Lago with his head held high and stood his ground. This is what true bravery looks like, and it’s exactly how we’ve been taking on Trump for a decade now.

We’ve been at the forefront of fighting Kremlin and maga propaganda, as I was one of the first to ever investigate Trump’s Russian ties.

One of the more interesting things about Zelensky is that he started life as a comic while Trump started life as a reality game show persona, playing the tough guy. Real life showed Zelensky is the tough courageous person and Trump’s projected strength was nothing but television fakery!

Yes to a moratorium on data centers - one was to be built where I live that would use more water than the entire city uses (we’re in a desert). Public pressure stopped it, but the much larger county appears to be taking it up. The need for them is speculative, but the high use of water and energy could be a problem for many areas. Another example of Big Money Wins and everybody else has to pick up the pieces.

And I think MAGA have now been trained to find conspiracies in every photo.

I do think there should be a moratorium on data centers. The environmental impact is devastating. Trump is destroying the climate and environment - the heat generated and the vast resources depleted by data centers sucking up energy for cooling and operation is phenomenally damaging to both. Plus, the energy used up is primarily fossil fuels - we cannot continue this practice and expect a healthy future for our children. Air and water pollution is significant. The hazards to workers (electric shocks, extreme temperatures) is significant, as well.

Unless we can put data centers in space, where the cooling is natural in the frigid environment, a moratorium is the answer: The planet earth is not able to support our demand for data centers.

AI needs to be curtailed and regulated, as well, but that's a separate issue.

What on earth are the maga people talking about, Hunter "replacing Joe"? In what? The family? Hardly. The photo? Joe's there, humbly and happily behind Jill. Hunter looks big because his arms are spread, wrapped around his fellow family members.

But honestly? Who cares. Maga focusing on a holiday snap is better than the loons focusing on anything else. Bad things happen when they do that.

There’s a clear contrast running through this. One side treats power like a loyalty test. The other treats it like something you stand upright inside of. Zelensky showing up without flinching while Trump keeps auditioning for strongman approval tells you everything you need to know about courage, and about who actually believes in democracy versus who just rents the language when it’s convenient.

Trump and Vance were incredibly rude and condescending to Zelensky. Zelensky is far more a statesman than Trump and Vance will ever be.

Scott, Zelensky is playing the cards he was dealt by a deluded American citizenry that foolishly elected Trump again. He’s aware that Trump is Putin’s agent and he’s maneuvering to get the best deal for his country. I applaud his courage and his actions. The American rate players are paying for these power centers in their increasing monthly bills. The power players in AI are the ones that will benefit in their stock prices. Let’s slow the progression down until there are laws governing AI in place.

I’m with Bernie… Not only are the data centers increasing energy bills, they deplete water sources and contaminate the water.

As far as dump’s meeting… He belongs in prison, or perhaps he can move to Russia, but he needs to be removed from the White House.

I agree. Aside from sucking up resources, these data centers are a waste of computing capacity. How many poignant AI-generated cat videos do we really need?

I wouldn’t be surprised if some are for blockchain cryptocurrencies. Crypto, like AI, are scammy products which threaten ordinary people’s standards of living. As much as I disagree with much of what the PRC does, they were wise to ban cryptocurrency. It’s an example of what the late Kevin Phillips referred to as financialization of the economy. We don’t produce things, some come up with new and exotic products to make more money out of money.

I am so in awe of President Zelensky! Why? Because even though it has only been a year, I had almost forgotten what a true leader looked like! I had almost forgotten that a true leader stands tall and faces his adversaries head on and make no mistake the orange boris is most definitely an adversary! He works for putin and I believe President Zelensky has no doubts about that! The Ukranian people are so lucky to have such an awesome president as they have in President Zelensky!
