Anti-Trump Protests in UK, GOP Senator Pushes Back, Colbert’s Rallying Cry, and More Good NewsUnless you’re TrumpAs Trump doubles down on his cruelty and chaos, I’m glad to have more great news to share today. I hope it brings you a bit of relief from the madness, and proves that folks everywhere are fighting back. Right now, the resistance is firing on all cylinders. Our Contact Congress campaign is flooding inboxes, while our massive social media operation counters Trump’s propaganda machine. So if you haven’t yet, support our independent journalism that fuels action by becoming a paid subscriber today: DONALD TRUMP VS. THE TRUTHTrump’s visiting the UK this week, and he will not be welcomed with open arms. Several large protests are planned, including one during his arrival, and another huge event set for Wednesday. Later this week, UK’s Channel 4 will be airing a program called “Donald Trump Vs. The Truth,” which will fact-check more than 100 of Trump’s worst lies. “We hope it will remind viewers how disorientating and dangerous the world becomes when the most powerful man on earth shows little regard for the truth,” Channel 4’s Ian Katz said. OOPSWhen the Trump regime floated the idea of sending troops to North Carolina, GOP Sen. Thom Tillis pushed back. Tillis criticized using the National Guard in American cities, calling it an “overreach,” saying they shouldn’t “be the nation’s police force.” Tillis added: “We also have to be realistic and see that there are some cities and red states that are also in the top 20 list.” I’m glad Tillis is actually speaking out. KASH IN TROUBLEKash Patel is in the hot seat following his fumbled handling of last week’s shooting, among other failures. A source told Fox that “The White House, Bondi, Blanche have no confidence in Kash … Pam in particular cannot stand him. Blanche either.” I normally don’t believe much of what Fox says, but this is exactly the sort of leak the Trump regime is known for—whether trying to distract from something like the Epstein files, or to set up someone’s ouster. Patel was never qualified or fit for the role. Shame on everyone who voted to confirm him. ONE WEEK AWAYWe’re only one week away from the special election in Arizona’s 7th Congressional District, where Dem Adelita Grijalva is expected to run away with a win. Grijalva would add the final signature needed for a discharge petition in the House, which would force a vote on releasing the Epstein files. COMEY SUES TRUMP REGIMEThe Trump regime is being sued by former federal prosecutor Maurene Comey, who says she was wrongfully fired by the DoJ. Comey played a major role in prosecuting the Epstein and Maxwell cases. The suit claims Comey’s firing was “unlawful and unconstitutional,” and a form of retaliation against her father—former FBI Director James Comey. EPSTEIN SCANDAL BIGGER THAN WATERGATEDem Rep. Summer Lee said that the Epstein case “could be a bigger scandal than Watergate—involving billionaires and foreign governments.” I agree. Otherwise, there’d be no reason for Republicans to put this much effort in covering it all up. Lee made the original motion in the House to subpoena the Epstein estate, which resulted in the release of the infamous birthday book, and a trove of other records. Additional documents were delivered by the estate yesterday. More to come on this. COLBERT’S RALLYING CRYOn Sunday night, Stephen Colbert received a standing ovation when he came out to present an award at the Emmys. Later on, when his show won the Outstanding Talk Series Award for the first time ever, Colbert said: “Sometimes you only truly know how much you love something when you get a sense that you might be losing it … I have never loved my country more desperately. God bless America. Stay strong. Be brave. And if the elevator tries to bring you down, go crazy and punch a higher floor!” Colbert is right. The only way the Trump regime wins is if we remain silent or obey in advance. In the last decade I’ve never given Trump or his cult an inch, and I’m not about to start now. We deliver daily news briefs that cut through Trump’s propaganda, while running relentless social media campaigns against the unhinged regime. And our Contact Congress campaign is aggressively pushing to release the Epstein files, get answers on Trump’s deteriorating health, demand the unmasking of ICE, and so much more.
