Five Questions with Politics Reporter Jon Allen
You’re probably familiar with Jon Allen, senior national politics reporter at NBC and frequent guest on MSNBC, where his analysis of what’s going on inside of the Trump administration and on the Hill is spot-on. Most recently he’s been writing about Signalgate and pointing out the hypocrisy of Hillary Clinton’s critics. But he’s also got a new book out this week with his co-author Amie Parnes, titled FIGHT: Inside the Wildest Battle for the White House.
I wasn’t sure I was ready for a book about the election yet, but it turns out I was. And I wanted to have Jon as our guest tonight to help us understand, even though in some ways, it feels like it’s still too soon, what we can extract from the painful experience of the 2024 election and put to use for 2026 and beyond. (Also, I appreciate his irreverence and willingness to dig into a tough subject.)
