URGENT ACTION NEEDED: Donald Trump fast-tracked a toxic factory in CANCER ALLEY! Here’s how you can help stop it, Tony. >>Take immediate action!
Formosa Plastics is building a Trump-approved toxic factory in a region of Louisiana so polluted that it’s known as Cancer Alley. The largely Black and low-wealth communities here already endure ASTRONOMICAL RATES of cancer and respiratory illnesses!
To make matters worse, Trump has begun to offer greedy polluters like Formosa Plastics the chance to request exemptions from the Clean Air Act – allowing companies to VIOLATE pollution limits without consequences! A new toxic factory is the last thing Cancer Alley needs, let alone one exempt from pollution limits!
But Formosa Plastics needs financing to build its new plant. That’s why local activists are calling on J.P. Morgan Chase, Citibank, and Bank of America to REFUSE FUNDING for Formosa Plastics’ Louisiana plant – and with enough pressure from environmentalists like you, we can help STOP this toxic factory!
The proposed plant would sit right along the Mississippi River, DESTROYING WETLANDS that serve as critical habitat for fish, birds, and reptiles. And with lax environmental enforcement from the Trump administration, drinking water for millions of people and animals would be at risk – and all so a few greedy executives can line their pockets.
Formosa Plastics already has a horrendous environmental track record. For years, it has been illegally releasing BILLIONS of plastic pellets into Texas waterways. But that didn’t stop Donald Trump from fast-tracking its permits.
That’s why activists are targeting Formosa Plastics’ funding. If Big Banks refuse to finance this project, construction won’t be able to start. But it will require a lot of pressure – and we need your immediate action to help us make it happen!
