Yesterday, Trump signed an illegal and unconstitutional executive order to dismantle the Department of Education. That means gutting public school funding, ripping resources away from kids, and making college even further out of reach for working families.

I’m a product of public schools. My kids go to public schools. I know firsthand how important it is to invest in public education to ensure that every child can succeed.
But Trump and his allies? They don’t care. It started with book bans, rewriting history books to exclude racial history, and even burning books. Now, it is an all-out attack on our education system.
I refuse to let that happen. I’m fighting for every student, every teacher, and every parent who wants a better future for their children. But I can’t do it alone.
Together, we’ll fight for our kids, our teachers, and the future they deserve.
