A Clear Reminder That Trump Is Horrible Beyond Measure Not that we needed one Scott Dworkin Jan 16 Last night, President Biden gave his farewell address from the Oval Office. Joe led us out of the Covid nightmare, and repaired our fractured alliances. He restored dignity to the office, and remade the American economy into the most healthy and robust it’s ever been. Biden said, “It will take time to feel the full impact of what we’ve done together. But the seeds are planted, and they’ll grow and they’ll bloom for decades to come.” And thanks to the massive bills he was able to usher through, this is absolutely true. The President used this historical moment to warn us all that “an oligarchy is taking shape in America of extreme wealth, power and influence that literally threatens our entire democracy, our basic rights and freedoms, and a fair shot for everyone to get ahead.” Not to mention any names...but Musk, Bezos, Zuckerberg, etc. Biden added that “Americans are being buried under an avalanche of misinformation and disinformation, enabling the abuse of power.” He went on, “the free Press is crumbling, editors are disappearing, social media has given up on fact-checking...the truth is smothered by lies.” Joe also called for Supreme Court term limits, a stock-trading ban on Members of Congress, and said the Constitution should be amended so that no president is above the law. And he closed out with, “Now it's your turn to stand guard. May you be the keeper of the flame. May you keep the faith. I love America. You love it too.
