ACTION ALERT: Show up 12/9 to support requests re PFAS

 SUSTAINABLE MIDDLEBOROUGH!

There are two opportunities for local action you can take in the coming week that could make a real difference.

Our friends at Citizens for a Healthy Middleboro have been closely following the issue of PFAS in our local water supply. They have made three requests of our local Health Board (a role of our Select Board), which you can read about here, and are on the agenda Monday night.

Can you show up in support at 7 pm Monday, 12/9, in the Select Board room at Town Hall?

It has been Sustainable Middleborough’s experience over the past 7 years that when we can get supporters sitting in the room in these local meetings—you don’t even have to speak—it makes a real difference. You can come just for that agenda item, which is letter G under New Business.

Watch for this in spring 2025: Sustainable Middleborough will be cosponsoring a workshop on How to Reduce PFAS in Your Home and in Our Town. Let us know if you'd like to help put it on.

We are also partnering with Sierra Club Massachusetts to support another local action alert that will go out tomorrow. Watch for it in your inbox!
