Welcome to Today’s American News – your daily source for the chaos that is American politics and pop culture. It’s November 22, 2024, and the headlines are weirder than a Trump legal team strategy session. Let’s dive in.

Nancy Mace’s obsession with bathrooms is bizarre…South Carolina Rep. Nancy Mace’s latest stunt—a bill banning transgender individuals from using women’s bathrooms on Capitol Hill—shows she’s more interested in pandering to a base than solving real problems. Her justification? A fundraising campaign selling merch with slogans like, “The Left wants to normalize balls in women’s stalls.”

The timing is telling: Rep. Sarah McBride, the first openly transgender member of Congress, just took office. While McBride is focused on meaningful legislation, Mace is hawking bathroom panic merch. It’s not governance; it’s clickbait politics in bad faith.

Sebastian Gorka’s second act…Sebastian Gorka, infamous for his far-right credentials and rocky tenure during Trump’s first term, is reportedly in the running for Deputy National Security Adviser. Yes, that Gorka—the one who was unceremoniously booted from the White House in 2017 and is best known for his ties to ultraconservative groups and his made-for-radio accent.

Why Gorka? Loyalty, of course. Trump is prioritizing die-hard allies over expertise. But critics warn this move could undermine U.S. credibility abroad. Gorka’s previous time in the White House was marked by a penchant for inflammatory rhetoric and internal chaos, so his return would be less “fresh start” and more “greatest hits of dysfunction.”

Judge Merchan allows Trump to file to dismiss charges…..It looks like accountability is once again optional for Donald Trump. Judge Juan Merchan just granted Trump’s request to file a motion to dismiss the charges in the hush money case (New York v. Trump), and to make it even sweeter for him, removed his sentencing date indefinitely. Translation: Trump gets to stall and dodge justice like he always does.

Imagine trying this move in any other courtroom. For Trump, the rules don’t apply—it’s delay, distract, and repeat. Accountability? Not in this timeline.

Today’s Buzz

On a lighter note, Jason and Kylie Kelce are about to add another little girl to their growing family, announcing today that they’re expecting their fourth child—and once again, it’s a daughter. The couple, who already have three girls, shared the news with their fans, making it clear that their family’s future is looking bright—and chaotic. Some fans are wondering if Travis and Taylor might be the next to add to the Kelce fam.
