Wow! Petco CANCELS Plan to Sell Rabbits!

THE MASSACHUSETTS MSPCA IS OVERWHELMED WITH ANIMALS SOLD AS 'PETS' THAT ARE SURRENDERED!

IF YOU WANT A PET, ADOPT!

THEY DON'T BELONG IN PETCO!

Yay! Petco CANCELS cruel plan to sell rabbits!

WONDERFUL NEWS! Thanks to a tremendous public outcry from people like you, Petco has made the sensible decision NOT to resume selling rabbits in its stores! This will spare a huge number of defenseless rabbits from a lifetime of suffering.

Not long ago, we reached out to you about Petco's decision to start selling rabbits again.

Thank you so much for taking action and telling Petco: do not sell rabbits ever again! Because of you and other animal advocates across the country, Petco has chosen to focus instead on promoting the adoption of homeless rabbits from shelters and rescue groups.

Rabbits are sweet and gentle and deserve to enjoy life!

This decision will spare thousands of rabbits every year from being bred in cruel breeding mills, sold in stores as gifts, suffering in small cages, abandoned, and dying young due to neglect.

Domestic rabbits are the third most abandoned pet in the United States, and at least 80% of rabbits purchased around Easter are abandoned or die within a year, according to National Geographic.

By letting the public know that rabbits are readily available from shelters and rescue groups — just as dogs and cats are — Petco has done the right thing, thanks to you!

This good news for rabbits is a step in the right direction. Unfortunately, Petco continues to sell other small animals, including hamsters, gerbils, mice, rats, chinchillas, ferrets, guinea pigs, and about 10 different types of birds.

Pet stores should stop selling ALL animals! Living beings deserve respect, care, and protection, not to be treated as things to be bought and sold.

While we celebrate this win for rabbits, we always remember that other animals, such as stray dogs and cats, still need our help.

With your help, we can do more advocacy for all animals, as well as continue our mission: to end the #1 cause of suffering and death for dogs and cats — overpopulation — by developing a permanent-lasting birth control cookie that will only need to be eaten one time, and it will in effect spay or neuter — without surgery.

Tessa, one of our rescued Pilot Pups!

Can you help us keep fighting to protect more animals from suffering?

Be a hero for animals today ... for as little as $5 a month!

YES! I WANT TO HELP ANIMALS FOR AS LITTLE AS $5 A MONTH!

Thank you so much for caring and helping animals!
