Gwen Walz, wife of Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, introduced her husband in a pre-recorded video at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago on Wednesday, a night focused on fighting “for our freedoms,” from democracy to reproductive rights and more.
Over family photos and news clips, Gwen told the story of her husband’s life, as the son of a veteran who became a high school teacher and football coach and eventually ran for office.
After the introductory video, Walz formally accepted the vice presidential nomination, a day before Vice President Kamala Harris will take the stage as the official nominee.
