Now more than ever, millions of animals need us to stand up for them against cruelty and neglect. In a matter of weeks, Congress will be back from the August recess. It’s time to make our voices heard and demand that Congress quickly advance legislation to protect animal welfare once they return from recess. Time is running out to get these bills across the finish line. As soon as they are back in session, we’re demanding Congress take action on animal welfare priorities: Ensuring the Farm Bill protects the welfare of farm animals and upholds state laws like California’s Proposition 12. The Better CARE for Animals Act to strengthen enforcement of the Animal Welfare Act and protect animals housed in puppy mills, roadside zoos and labs. The SAFE Act to end domestic horse slaughter for good and prevent slaughter abroad. The Humane Cosmetics Act to ban animal testing for all cosmetic products manufactured or sold in the U.S. Fighting to protect animals never takes a recess. Take action today to show your legislators what matters to you—compassionate treatment of all animals and the end of suffering and abuse. Make your voice heard today.
