This has kill buyers in a panic

Your 2024 Update

We're almost there. Bring us one step closer to ending horse slaughter today.

SUPPORT ANIMALS

The people who make money off horse slaughter are panicking. Their payday is running dry – but until every last horse is free, we refuse to declare victory.

Your support is how we continue to take down this vicious industry and hold animal abusers accountable. Here's an update on some of our latest investigations:

DECLINE
IN MISSISSIPPI

When we last investigated Magnolia Horse Sale, we documented two active kill buyers and extremely sick horses. This year, only 21 horses were sold and signs outside indicated the auction is up for sale.

DECLINE
IN TEXAS

Mike McBarron used to be one of the largest shippers in Texas. But during a recent visit to his pen, we documented mostly empty pens and no selling activity.

STILL ACTIVE

At the Murphy Auction in Arizona, we found several emaciated horses with eye infections and overgrown hooves. They had no water, while the riding horses in better shape had water and shelter. We also documented a group of terrified, skinny young burros.

STILL ACTIVE

In Pennsylvania, the notorious New Holland auction and kill buyer Bruce Rotz's plant remain centers of abuse and horror. Disturbingly, Rotz has teamed up with horse rescues to advertise his horses online, all while sending other sickly horses to slaughter.

Get justice for horses who are suffering right now – and shut kill buyers down

SUPPORT ANIMALS

Showing up to an empty auction or pen is a double-edged sword. While it's relieving to see our tactics working in Mississippi and Texas, kill buyers won’t stop until the same can be said for every state.

Our research into different kill buyers in Oklahoma, New Mexico, Kansas, Texas, and Louisiana confirms that several locations still remain very active and are keeping the slaughter horse trade to Mexico alive. We need your help to focus on these targets.

Please make an urgent gift to Animals' Angels today to support all of our investigative work. I know you agree that horses, puppies, cows, pigs, chickens, and all animals deserve to be freed from suffering. This is how we make it happen.
