Austin Jaggers has been identified by the @SeditionHunters as a participant in the January 6 attack at the United States Capitol, and now he has been indicted on numerous charges, including rape.
Prospect pro arm wrestler charged with rape, assault
A Prospect man nationally ranked as a pro arm wrestler is accused of raping, kidnapping and physically assaulting a woman at her Oldham County home on Oct. 14.
The Oldham County Sheriff’s Office executed an arrest warrant Oct. 23 on Austin Jaggers, 32, at his Prospect address. The Oldham County Police Department (OCPD) charged Jaggers with first-degree rape (domestic) with serious physical injury, first degree kidnapping with serious physical injury, first-degree burglary, second degree assault and first-degree criminal mischief.
OCPD received report of a sexual assault on Oct. 15. They say the victim identified Jaggers as her then-boyfriend, accusing him of raping and physically assaulting her the previous night.
During the investigation, OCPD reviewed home security footage, determining that the victim and Jaggers engaged in a verbal argument around 10:30 p.m., according to the citation.
Six minutes later, police say Jaggers told the victim, “You’re going to get raw-dogged by me,” a slang reference to sex without a condom.
Police say the victim refused several times and asked Jagger to leave, but he proceeded to engage in vaginal intercourse against her will, holding her down and preventing her from leaving throughout the process.
Jaggers, according to OCPD, also struck the victim several times in the face and head, causing serious physical injury. The victim also attempted to dial 911, but police say Jaggers grabbed her phone and broke it.
Armfighter.com lists Jaggers as one of the top ranked arm wrestlers in his weight class nationwide. He’s ranked fifth-best among the “super heavyweight” division which includes men 231 pounds or larger.
Jaggers is currently held in the Oldham County Detention Center on a $400,000 cash bond. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Nov. 1 in District Court before Judge Daniel Fendley.
