Tomorrow I’ll be sworn in for my third term in Congress, and I’m proud to say I’ll be in the company of 72 other members of Congress who reject corporate PAC money. The number of members who reject corporate PAC money has increased since I was first sworn in four years ago, when 56 of us, many of us freshmen, took the pledge.
In 2020 I started an organization, Truth to Power, to elect candidates who would join me in standing up to special interests and rejecting corporate money. This year we elected nine more Truth to Power candidates who are joining me in Washington to fight for families.
While corporations profit off of record inflation, and big corporate mergers reduce choice and raise prices, it’s more important than ever that there are elected leaders who aren’t beholden to corporate lobbyists and their checks.
I’m proud that our campaign is powered by grassroots donations. The majority of our donations are of $25 or less, and every contribution makes a real difference. If you can, consider chipping in today.
Thanks for your support,
Katie
