After Bernie Sanders’ 2016 presidential campaign, which shook the political establishment to its core, a few staffers decided to continue the work to fight to elect progressives by launching Justice Democrats. For a team with a small budget, we’ve had quite an impact in the last few years.
We recruited AOC, Cori Bush, and Jamaal Bowman to run and helped their campaigns win in competitive primary elections against entrenched incumbents. This cycle we’ve helped Greg Casar and Summer Lee win their primary elections and now they’re on their way to the General Election in November.
As a grassroots supported organization, our fundraising makes a big impact on the level of support that we’re able to offer our endorsed candidates. Imagine the impact we could have on politics if we had the amount of money that the DCCC has in the bank.
Right now, we’re a little bit behind on our fundraising compared to last month and we can’t afford a down month, which is why we’re emailing you today:
