Last week another new Supreme Court ruling significantly curtailed the Environmental Protection Agency’s ability to regulate emissions from power plants—a major blow for our fight against pollution.
The night before, California Congressman Mike Levin and I sent a letter to the EPA outlining the steps they still are able to take to address climate change and protect our environment.
The Supreme Court’s decision is a setback, but I’m not willing to give up on our planet. I’m encouraging the EPA to still maximize their authority to hold polluters to a higher standard and remove lead from our drinking water. Here in Congress I’ll still be doing everything I can to fight for our environment.
Sign my petition to show your support for the EPA doing all it can to protect the environment.
There’s no time to waste—we must take action to address climate change and protect the environment. Leaving it for future generations will only make it more costly to deal with.
Onward,
Katie
Katie is running for re-election in California's 47th district, which includes Irvine and coastal Orange County. This purple district contains an equal number of Democrats and Republicans and is a must-win for Democrats. Consider pitching in today so we have the resources to keep Katie in Congress fighting for working people. |
