Liberty Mutual’s executives have their heads stuck in the tar sands, and it’s bad for business and terrible for our climate. In fact, tar sands are so destructive, that 18 insurance companies have already ruled out the Trans Mountain tar sands pipeline expansion project — but Liberty has remained silent.
Insurers are supposed to be risk experts, right? But one of the largest and most recognizable insurance companies is choosing to ignore debilitating risk to people and planet by not dropping this project and failing to adopt a tar sands policy.
Tell Liberty Mutual execs enough is enough; take immediate climate action by dropping Trans Mountain NOW.
Tar sands are one of the most destructive fossil fuels on the planet, which is why it's imperative to stop this project in its tracks. As one of the largest and best known insurance companies, Liberty Mutual dropping the Trans Mountain pipeline would be a monumental step in ending tar sands pollution — because if Liberty drops, others WILL follow.
Frontline communities, grassroots organizers, environmental orgs, and people like you are in this fight together. It takes all of us to move these giants, but it IS possible to move them.
Remember, 18 insurance companies have already dumped the Trans Mountain pipeline or vowed to never support it. We can and will get more — including Liberty Mutual. Something as simple as making a phone call can make a world of difference – and that’s where you come in. Please, call Liberty and tell them Trans Mountain isn’t worth the risk.
Challenge corporate power with us. Let’s move this giant to take action for people and planet.
