On my first day in office, I directed my Administration to expand Medicaid, in line with the overwhelming will of Maine people – and this month marks three years since the Federal government approved our plan.
Thanks to expansion, nearly 90,000 Maine people now have access to health care. That means they can see a doctor, get preventive care like cancer screenings, and afford prescription medications. It’s been crucial to improving the health of our state.
But here’s the catch: my opponent, Paul LePage, opposed expanding Medicaid time and time again when he was governor. He vetoed multiple bipartisan bills to expand Medicaid, and, even after the voters approved expanding Medicaid at the ballot box, he refused to implement it.
Health care is critical for Maine people, and I’m going to do everything in my power to fight for it. Now, I need your support as we get closer to Election Day. Can you make a contribution of $5.00 so we can defend Maine from a candidate who denied it for those Maine people who need it most?
Thank you,
Janet Mills
