Manchin and Cuellar are back at it again 👀 MAY 24TH RUNOFF

 

Hi, it’s Jessica.    I’m the candidate for Congress who’s running to defeat the Joe Manchin of Texas — Henry Cuellar. Here’s why I’m determined to win:   The climate crisis is getting worse by the day. Cuellar takes thousands of dollars in contributions from Big Oil over the best interests of South Texas, and it’s not a surprise why he’s earned the title of “Big Oil’s Favorite Democrat”.   And behind closed doors, Cuellar has aligned himself with Senator Joe Manchin. Joe Manchin is currently at the center of a public corruption scandal and he’s stalled our progress on so many issues. And Manchin’s PAC just made a contribution of $2,500 to Cuellar’s campaign.    Our district doesn’t deserve this. We need a representative who will fight for the health and safety of our climate. We deserve clean air and water. And we deserve a representative who will fight tooth and nail to protect our community from the climate crisis.     It's way past time we replace Henry Cuellar. And on May 24th, I expect to win the nomination. With Democrats holding a razor-thin majority in Congress, we must unseat Henry Cuellar to have any hope of making progress on climate.    Cuellar and Manchin have worked behind the scenes to halt any progress on addressing the climate crisis and ending our reliance on fossil fuels. By taking money from the fossil fuel industry, they have shown us where their priorities are, and it's not our health or safety. Cuellar cannot be trusted to have our best interests, and next month, we have a real chance to win and replace him.  In the last election, we defied expectations when we came within a tiny margin of defeating Henry Cuellar and forcing him to a runoff election. But we were outspent by hundreds of thousands of dollars. Together, we are going to prove that a people-powered campaign like ours can take on a far-right Democratic incumbent and win this election.  I’m committed to upholding my promise to never take a dime from corporate PACs because in Congress I am fighting for my community.
