Cawthorn is not Carolina

 

Hey,

The elections in North Carolina could determine which party controls the House and Senate after November. Yes, it's that important.

Common Defense is working on the ground to make sure the Democratic candidate is able to beat whatever Trump-backed maniac the GOP picks.

But we're not just talking endorsements — those same Republicans will also be able to tap Trump's major donors. That means we have to redouble our grassroots efforts in response. 

There's a good reason why winning in North Carolina is so important. Just look at one of the candidates that we're up against: Madison Cawthorn.

You might remember him as the guy who lied about his admission to the United States Naval Academy. Or maybe you're familiar with his prominent role in the January 6th insurrection as one of the principal speakers at the pre-riot rally — along with his sponsor Donald Trump.

We’re going to make sure that North Carolinians know about Cawthorn’s attempted stolen valor and the rest of Trump’s GOP cronies attempts to subvert our democracy during the insurrection at the Capitol.
